Dr. Daniel Luna is a retired U.S. Navy SEAL and executive coach specializing in leadership, resilience, and human performance under pressure. As Founder and CEO of Team 3LX, he partners with leaders and organizations operating in high-stakes environments to enhance clarity, integrity, and adaptability.
Over his 20-year military career, Dr. Luna completed nine deployments across Afghanistan, Iraq, the Philippines, and East Africa, leading elite teams and complex missions. After being wounded in action, he transitioned to the U.S. Naval Academy, mentoring future SEAL officers and serving as a Senior Fellow at the Stockdale Center for Ethical Leadership, where he taught resilience, ethics, and moral leadership.
Beyond his military service, Dr. Luna has worked extensively with corporate leaders in privately held companies, providing executive coaching and leadership development focused on performance optimization, emotional intelligence, and team cohesion. His approach blends evidence-based coaching, trauma-informed practice, and real-world leadership experience to help executives navigate complexity, manage change, and lead with authenticity.
Dr. Luna holds a Doctorate in Organizational Change and Leadership from the University of Southern California, a Master’s in Executive Leadership and Graduate Certificate in Leadership Coaching from Georgetown University and is a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) through the International Coaching Federation. He is also a certified Trauma-Informed Coach (TICC) and End-of-Life and Grief Coaching, deepening his focus on service, growth, meaning, and transformation through adversity.
A decorated combat veteran, Dr. Luna integrates lived experience, coaching, and research to help others lead from within—especially those serving in demanding or volatile professions.
